Thanks to my couponing friends, Andrea and Niki, I scored some great deals today at Albertsons using the 1/1 coupons from Smart Source and Red Plum. Albertsons has hang tag coupons for their Tom’s toothpaste, which is on sale for $3, and the coupon is $2 off of one which makes it $1.00 for Tom’s Toothpaste. Most of the time this item costs $4 or more to buy. Then, they also have rubbermaid along containers for $1 each, when you use the rubbermaid coupon for $1 off of 2, this brings each item to .50. There is also the Starkist tuna pouches which are $1 each (when you buy 10), and with a .50 off coupon this brings them to .50 each. (Thanks for the edit Andrea ).
Lastly, my favorite, is Nivea lip balm, which is currently $1 each. If you buy 2, you can use the coupon for $3 off of 2, and this makes them free (as most Albertson’s do not give overage).
If you want to make money on the Nivea lip balm, you could take the Albertson’s ad to Walmart and they will match the price for the Nivea, then use the $3 off coupon for 2 at their store and you will make $1 in your pocket. Walmart DOES give the extra money in cash to you. Be sure to bring along a copy of the Walmart coupon policy in case there is any confusion with the cashier or the manager.
There are more good deals this week at King Soopers and other stores and I’ll be sure to post when we go shopping again.
